History of the Alumni Center

Over the years, alumni service-related matters were coordinated and planned by the Internship and Counseling Office. After the institution's transformation into National Taipei Normal College, there have been significant changes.……

July 1991
The Internship and Counseling Office (now Office of Teacher Education) has completed the draft of the “Organizational Regulations of the Alumni Counseling Committee of National Taipei Teachers College.” It was approved during the college affairs faculty meeting. In addition to alumni service work, the Office is actively promoting the establishment of alumni branches in various counties and cities.
October 1992
The Center was established under the Internship and Counseling Office, with the addition of one full-time staff member responsible for alumni service-related tasks. The director was concurrently held by the director of the Internship and Counseling Office.
August 1996
The Internship and Counseling Office was renamed the Internship and Counseling Division, and a new Alumni Service Section was established. Professor Guo Minglang, the director of the division, also served as the inaugural head of the section, with a term of two years.。
August 1998
Professor Li Zhihong took over as the second head of the Alumni Service Section, serving a term of two years.
August 2000
Professor Lin Qingjun assumed the position as the third head of the Alumni Service Section, serving a term of two years.
August 2002
The Alumni Service Section, formerly a part of the Internship and Counseling Division, was reorganized and adjusted to a first-tier unit named the “Alumni Service Center” to enhance the capacity and hierarchy of alumni services. Professor Guo Minglang was appointed as the inaugural director to spearhead alumni-related activities.
August 2005
The university was upgraded and restructured to National Taipei University of Education. In alignment with the restructuring plan for the university, the Center was integrated into the Office of Secretariat. The Secretary-General was appointed to coordinate alumni service-related tasks.
February 2006
To enhance the alumni services and add alumni employment and entrepreneurship-related services, a second-tier unit called the “Alumni Center” was established under the Office of Secretariat. It was divided into the “Alumni Services Section” and the “Employment and Entrepreneurship Section.”
April 2010
To align with the unified employment and entrepreneurship counseling services, all employment and entrepreneurship-related tasks were now handled by the “Teacher Education and Career Counseling Center” (formerly the Teacher Education Center). The Alumni Center has been restructured into the “Alumni Services Section” and the “School History Development Section,” responsible for alumni services and school history editing, development, and related tasks, respectively.
